About Our Practice
Founded by Dr. Amy Fousek in 2016, our practice has been proud to serve the ranchers, farmers, and animal owners of Siskiyou County.
What started as a mobile large animal practice based in Montague, California has grown to include a small animal clinic to better serve our community.
We now offer:
Mobile Large Animal Services - On-site ranch and farm calls for wellness, preventative care, and herd health throughout Siskiyou County.
Small Animal Clinic - Located at 10787 Mayten Road, Montague, CA 96064, providing care for your dogs, cats, and companions.
Emergency services are available for active clients. To become an active client, please schedule a wellness exam for your animal or herd.

Dr. Amy Fousek, DVM | Owner
Dr. Amy Fousek grew up in Kansas with a lifelong love for animals. Actively involved in 4-H as a child, she discovered early on that caring for animals was her calling — a passion that led her to pursue veterinary medicine.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in 2008 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2010.
Since 2016, Dr. Amy has proudly served the ranchers and livestock owners of Siskiyou County and their animals. What began as a mobile large animal practice based in Montague has grown to include a small animal clinic at 10787 Mayten Road, Montague, CA 96064.
At home, Dr. Amy’s four-legged family includes Jessie the spoiled Border Collie, Crusher the ginormous Labrador, George and Grey Kitty, plus Pearce the old ranch horse, Skip the one-eyed wonder horse, and Molly the old mule.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tom, riding horses, traveling, eating good food, and raising their two sons and daughter.

Dr. Hailey Briseno, DVM | Associate Veterinarian
A Siskiyou County native, Dr. Hailey Briseno is excited to be home.
Raised exploring the mountains, skiing, and loving everything the outdoors has to offer, her love for animals and the area eventually led her to veterinary medicine. With family still in the area, Siskiyou County has always felt like home.
Dr. Briseno earned her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo in 2021 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2026. Her veterinary interests include small animal medicine, equine and large animal medicine, preventative care, and diagnostic imaging. She also holds a special interest in marine mammal medicine and has previous experience working with dolphins.
Dr. Hailey is thrilled to return home and care for Siskiyou County’s families, farms, and four-legged companions. She is now seeing appointments at our Montague clinic and is also available for large animal calls.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, and spending time with her husband, Quinn, and their animals.
